For sale a piece of history and landmark known as The Idle Spurs Steakhouse. The Idle Spurs Ranch was built on West HWY 58 during the 1950’s. The ranch home featured horse stables, a tree covered outdoor patio with a billiards table, swimming pool, indoor bar and recessed seating in the lounge facing one of the two fireplaces During the first twenty years it served as both a business and home. ±56 Tons of flagstone flooring, which may readily be seen at the entry, small bar and in the patio, was transported to Barstow and hand laid by Navajo Indians from Window Rock Arizona. the property was purchased by the current owner in the mid 1970’s and renamed it the Idle Spurs Steak House. A larger bar was built in the bedroom area, the fireplace lounge and swimming pool were filled in to create a larger lounge and dining areas. A skylight with live trees and plants were added in the center of the building. The restaurant was considered a notable stop for travelers passing through Barstow, particularly those traveling along Route 66.
